Hi friends! It’s Friday, which means it’s chorus-of-collective-gratitude o’clock!
My small joy this week was celebrating with my friend Lizzie our version of Rosh Hashanah. We baked two loaves of homemade challah bread. With the first one, we attempted a six-plait braid that went very awry—there was one thread we forgot to weave in and sort of draped over it, so that it had this one weird side chunk. Then we made another loaf with a simpler, four-part braid that came together perfectly.
