Hi friends!

The Alchemy Tour has sold out so quickly, and I’ve heard from a number of you asking if there are any other events in the works. For those of you who weren’t able to get tickets or live too far away to attend the tour, I’ll be doing a very special event that will be held virtually so that you can join us!

The Creative Alchemy Workshop will take place on April 21 at 7pm ET—on the eve of the publication of The Book of Alchemy!

I’m also THRILLED to announce that I’ll be joined by my dear friend and the world’s leading expert in creativity, Elizabeth Gilbert. (She’d be embarrassed for me to describe her that way, but I adamantly believe it to be true—and if you’ve watched her brilliant TED Talk or read Big Magic or experienced the wonder of her other many books, then likely you do too!)

In this live virtual event, we’ll talk about the journal as a portal to creativity and how we wrangle our fears, both on and off the page. We’ll share some of the journaling prompts and creative practices that have changed our lives and the way we approach writing. We’ll answer your questions and, of course, have some good, old-fashioned, likely absurd fun—as we did in our attempt at a promotional video for this event which immediately went all kinds of awry (see below).

To secure your spot, simply pre-order The Book of Alchemy from a retailer of your choice (ideally an independent bookstore) and submit proof of your purchase when you register.

Please note that registration for the event closes this Sunday, April 20, at 7pm ET (24 hours before the event)—so register now!

For a little context, Liz was visiting me during chemo week, and because my white blood cell count was low, we couldn’t hug or even shake hands—so instead we settled for a little footsie high-five dance.
