I’ve been obsessed with advice columns since I was a kid. As far back as elementary school, I would scan the pages of my local paper for the “Dear Abby” column. I loved getting glimpses of the adult world and the wide variety of hare-brained and hair-raising human dramas. The entangling and disentangling that lay ahead.
Penning my own version, “Dear Susu,” has been so much fun. I’ve published two installments so far (link in bio to read them)—first answering a question from Jeanne, who feels the urge to write but isn’t sure how to share her words with the world, then from K., who wonders how to move on after heartbreak.
Just email me at suleika@theisolationjournals.com with the subject line “Dear Susu.” Include any necessary context about yourself and your situation, and your query too. If you want to remain anonymous, that’s more than fine—just let me know or offer up a pseudonym.
Sending love,
Suleika
I can't get your book off my mind u rock ready for u to write another your paintings r wonderful. I have been struggling with anxiety for about 15 years sometimes not knowing if I wanted to live or die. I almost killed myself just trying to get rid of it. I had a terrible seizure after drinking too much one day u offer so much encouragement
I’m very excited about the 100 day project. My husband passed away 2 years ago and journaling has helped, but the reentering process for a new routine has seemed next to impossible, and “discipline”, well that’s a dirty word. So Lead On SuSu, you have my full attention! ❤️
