Vasily Kandinsky, Impression III/Concert (1911)

Hey, y’all!

“Joyous” was the word that came to mind for me during our closing ritual at last week’s Journaling Club—that’s the feeling that I left with and carried around all day. Nearly 1,000 members of this community joined us to hear the maestro himself, Jon Batiste, talk about the muscle of intuition, the journal as a mover of energy, and the overlap between dreaming and making art. He also shared a sneak peek of a stunning video for “Gospel Andante,” a track from his new album Black Mozart. It was an honor and a privilege to host him and to share that time with all of you.

If you missed it—or if you just want to revisit it—you can find a video replay of the hour below, along with the prompts and some sonic accompaniment. May it help you meet whatever is happening in your life right now with curiosity and a collaborative spirit.

Much love,

Carmen
