After my sister was diagnosed with the same disease as Suleika almost 2 years ago, I bought copies of her book for family and friends. Through her book Suleika is still helping us to understand what my sister Annie is going through. I refer to this book as research Annie’s issues such as the constant struggles with “graft vs host”, what NOT to say and the toll of her many isolation periods on her mental health. I continue to recommend this book to people but will not part with my copy. The Sunday morning I saw Suleika being interviewed on CBS was such an unexpected gift because Annie had just been diagnosed. I ordered my first copy of her book right after her interview. I immediately read it and ordered a copy for Annie. I thank Suleika from the bottom of my heart and continue to send positive thoughts her way through my daily meditation.

It’s been my pleasure to share how much support BTK offered me, and continues to offer me. I’ve told my transplant nurses, and anyone who is curious about the experience of facing a deadly disease. BTK is like a beautiful gift handed from heart to heart. I’m forever grateful for this place to be reminded of the huge love that engendered Suleika’s creation.

I have read her book, having had a rare cancer myself and feeling a bit like her after "I was better". I have recommended and talked to so many about her journey. She is an amazing young talented woman. As I am writing myself, I share her prompts with others who are on a writing journey. I just want her to go into remission again and enjoy her life with her friends and with Jon, who I respect and admire also.

Thank you for this opportunity to give back to Suleika a tiny part of what she has done for her thousands of readers! I am in India and my son is a sophomore in college in the US. We both loved the book, bonded over it, and will gift it to anyone we can!

Just purchased the paperback. Sending love and hope to Suleika. Having her messages in my inbox almost daily has created a inner friendship of the heart with her. Even though she has no idea who I am her love still touches my soul. "The power of connection is strong with this one!" (picturing guru Yoda). :)

Absolutely! It's one of the best memoirs I've read. More than happy to pass copies along. When Suleika is well, we would love to consider her work for the 2023 Nantucket Book Festival. Carmen, you are the an amazing friend.

I had already purchased a copy of Between Two Kingdoms for myself when Carmen's request arrived in my inbox. I stopped at my favorite bookstore on the way to visit a friend and bought another copy for her. So we will read it together. Thinking every day of brave Suleika, a young woman of such extraordinary grace and may I say sweetness?
