“Threads” sounds great. I love the title “Threads” as we weave the tapestry of our journey together. This is like a coffee-less coffee shop; a gathering, sharing place. Thanks for your foresight in creating this space.

During the time from my diagnosis to being done with my radiation treatments, I made pair after pair of beaded earrings. It was something I did for lots of days during 7 months. I seemed to need putting my attention on something outside of myself, which needed mindfulness. In all, I probably topped 30 pairs! I made them, using #11 Delicas, which are lovely, tiny Japanese beads, made exquisitely, and which are a delight to work with. Suleika, your perseverance inspired and sustained me in a peaceful quiet way. Thank you.

I downloaded the App but like others are saying I have not seen a double bubble, unless this is it.

Threads - love the idea. Hope my tech skills will make this work. I hate to miss even a minute of it.

This feels like a cozy and wonderfully safe space to talk and share.

Thread

Here, take this thread.

Consider it, caress it

Run it through your fingers

Taste its color, feel how smooth

If you finally wish

Thread it through your single eye,

Hand me back the end

and I will do the same.

This back and forth will weave a world

We can do this

This mystic stitch, this slender line that runs

from me to you and back again

We live along its length

Thank you for this space! As the summer wanes and days get shorter, I’m finding myself reaching for anchors to stabilize me during the changing days. It is nice to imagine having this as a regular check in point, but also as a place of direction towards new paths. With what energy you have, you sure do incredible things ❤️

Suleika, this quiet poem brings you to mind.

Song of Myself, 1 [I Celebrate myself]

Walt Whitman - 1819-1892

I Celebrate myself, and sing myself,

And what I assume you shall assume,

For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.

I loafe and invite my soul,

I lean and loafe at my ease observing a spear of summer grass.

My tongue, every atom of my blood, form'd from this soil, this air,

Born here of parents born here from parents the same, and their parents the same,

I, now thirty-seven years old in perfect health begin,

Hoping to cease not till death.

Creeds and schools in abeyance,

Retiring back a while sufficed at what they are, but never forgotten,

I harbor for good or bad, I permit to speak at every hazard,

Nature without check with original energy.

All the love on this Summery Day,

Marcy B!
