Coincidentally, it was the same time last year, October 2021, my husband and I were on a road trip and visited Abiquiu, where Georgia O’Keefe’s subject, the New Mexico landscape, lay before your very eyes and, as you describe, you felt even the landscape was supernaturally lighted. Amazing. In that I add the discovery of the book, The Selected Letters of Georgia O’Keefe and Alfred Stieglitz “My Faraway One” which marries the extraordinary ethereal experience, of her love affair of both this man and landscape.
