I shouldn't have had the computer open at 6am, but I did, and there was the 100-Day Project gift. I've spent the last 40 minutes in awe, in smiles, in tears, in gasps, in joy, in amazement, in contemplation...and in gratefulness. Basically, just in love. What a way to start a day. I will re-visit and treasure all of these - and this experience - forever. Thank you all.
It was/is a Museum experience for me...to virtually experience each person's story and the creativity they chose and created from those experiences. Thank you to each of the artists who bravely put themselves "out there" and while doing so, made themselves vulnerable, seen, and are a collective of inspiration. My breath feels deeper for this experience.
These are all amazingly beautiful! Wow they all touched me deeply, a few I took to heart. One was Shelli from Arizona with the doctors message he said act like you are living instead of dying. I have leukemia in remission and probably every cancer patient has lived with the shadow of the possibility of death or the return of the disease. And without knowing it sometimes you do forget to act like you are living. So I needed that message again to put those shadows in the background and step forward.
The artistic expressions in this collection are just fabulous. I will read this summary again and again! Thank you!
I call you “Friends” intentionally - for that is how I feel about this incredible gathering. Each of us with our own histories. Each of us with needs and desires. Each of us finding our way to live fully in this moment. I can imagine us going on a hike, leaning in toward each other over a comforting beverage, exchanging fleeting texts - I know on a cellular level we have the grist to connect us.
Each of these 20 pieces, graciously shared, are amazing and inspiring gifts. So are all of the posts along the way. All of us being our unique souls. Linking arms and creating this community. Of each of us and all of us. Together.
Everything.. everyone!! These sharing a were amazing … I agree with every reflection here and just want to add that to enter this space has been a true gift, while I did not complete the 100 days, I am humbled to bear witness to so much beauty, grace, courage and love for life and the power of creating with and beyond words. Blessings to all and as I move forward I know all I create is connected to the threads of community know as The Isolation Journals. Thank you 🙏🏼 💓
Nothing creates comfort and confidence more than knowing you are not alone when facing a health challenge. This 100 day community lifts you up and let’s you know you are never alone. Such inspiring stories of hope and resilience !!! Thanks Suleika and your whole tribe !
Thank you so much for sharing these experiences. Moving and inspirational, and thank you for creating the opening for the 100 day creativity challenge. A beautiful community. Shining stars lighting up our lives with creativity and the urge to express ourselves. Bowing deep in gratitude 🙏🏻
Together these provide a canvas of such deep inspiration and hope. Beautiful to look at and read--an infusion of courage. Rilke had it half right when he wrote, "Live the questions." He forgot to write, "The questions hold the answers."
I’m stunned and awed by the range of expression in these works. Someone else said it in their comments - as I read, listened, viewed…it felt like a museum visit (one of my favorite things to do). I laud and thank you all.
What a community. Thank you Suleika, Carmen and Friends. You have given me more than I could find words for. I took photos of nature on my daily walk & drew them. I looked at things carefully & differently. A metaphor for the Isolation Journals. You all are parts of my spiritual practice: giving me hope, love, beauty and acceptance.
Each of these people is a true artist of the most authentic and humanistic kind. Such a privilege to have each of them share their art and their personal stories with us
What an inspiring, touching, beautiful, brave, loving and outstanding collection. I carefully took each contribution in and thank each person who participated. (I did not) You are all amazing and I am deeply moved.
